The only way to change indentities is to close Outlook, launch the Outlook Profile Manager, change the default identity (and you can't just double click another identity), close and relaunch Outlook. So a couple of clicks to close and reopen worked reasonably well to change the current identity when required. In Outlook 2011 it was a little harder, the menu link was gone, but you could still bring the identity switch menu up at start up. Switching identities was quite quickly done. In Entourage, at start up, you had a small menu where you had the choice of which identity you required, plus you could quickly access that menu via a menu link under 'file'. I have different email addresses for different personal and business interests. Having worked my way up through Entourage and then Outlook 2011, Ive got used to using separate email identities.
